Motivation & Accountablilty
Motivation has both a physiological component as well as a mental and emotional system in both good and not so good functioning!  Accountability is all your work and none usually equals less effectiveness. I am trying to build some accountability with you in the PHT program, but how much you utilize here or on your own?  All You!!!

  • How much information do you listen to?
  • How do you motivate you or someone else?
  • After watching/reading/thinking - can you see how your investment of time and energy is affecting your goals and behaviors?
  • Is there anything you want to change about the way you have created change in the past?

October Week (2) 2019

How to build in accountability.
Defining Accountability:  For the purposes of this program, accountability means how we stay on task or focused and moving forward towards something we want to change, a new behavior, a different way of thinking or feeling, or anything new we are wanting to introduce into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Why most of us don't establish and commit to any long term accountability.

Short answer?  It's hard and takes extra time and feels glaring when we fail in whatever goals/tasks we set for ourselves, so we quit.

Solution?  A decision, the discipline to follow thru even when we don't feel like it, and clear, short term, and achievable steps as process and not HUGE big outcome goals most of us won't achieve.

This Week:

 Pick One Thing you want to be accountable for this entire week.  How will you be accountable for this?  What will you do to be accountable?  Identify 4 steps of what you can do to accomplish this one thing and write them down.  At the end of this week, did you stay accountable?  Answer why or why not.  What can you do again, or do differently?  Or, name why you blew this week off....

Most of the information here we have covered already, but as the sun moves lower in the horizon, it's time to adjust some our daily practices for the winter season!

What can you do to get more SUN/VIT D in winter?
   ☀️Get a UV Lamp
   ☀️Visit a lower elevation
   ☀️Change your walk to mid-day
   ☀️Eat your lunch outside
   ☀️Eat more cold water fish
   ☀️Take a D3/K2 supplement



This Week:

  • Make a plan to increase your Vit D if needed
  • Make a plan to adjust your exercise/movement practices for winter
  • Make a plan if you have mood issue that are affective by seasons
